We're settling into summer. Those hot days, late sunsets, lazy mornings, vacations... we're in the middle of all the goodness of the season.
If you have kids in the house, summers seem to have a rhythm all their own. It seems as moms we are either swimming, feeding children, or entertaining laments over boredom ;). And of course there are lots of moments of fun sprinkled throughout!
With moms and kids in mind, I've filled the store with things to inspire creativity and combat those moments of boredom. We have new puzzles, art supplies, cute embroidery kids, paint by number for adults (yes!), games and more! So bring the kids by next time you come - they are welcome!
We also have some new activities on our calendar!
1- Read with us this summer as we begin our second She Reads Truth reading guide. This guide will take us through August 4 as we read through 1st & 2nd Corinthians. We have reading guides in the shop and online! Mention this blog post and get 20% off your guide or use the code CORINTH. We will also have two discussion groups. July 16 at 5:30 and August 4 at 3. So many of you have expressed a desire for community and I'd love to bring us together and nurture that!
2- Join us July 1 at 1:30 or July 2 at 6:00 for a painting workshop. We'll be painting an Eastern Bluebird. Purchase your ticket here or here. We'll paint at the Chamber in Watkinsville.
3- We're very excited to host our first book signing. Help us welcome Beverly Varnado of Watkinsville. She has written a beautiful book for youth and teen readers called In Search of the Painted Bunting. She will have copies of her book for sale at the signing. June 28, 2024 from 2:00-4:00.
We look forward to spending our summer days with you! If you have any questions about our events, please call us at the shop or message us through the website!
